The engine before cleaning. Most engines get a bath in a caustic cooker but this one was relatively clean so we just sent it to the blast cabinet

Even the ports and water jackets are cleaned of carbon and rust this way, something caustic won't do
This is After Sealing The Exterior With Ford Green Paint
The cylinders being bored with portable boring bar (notice the red sealer varnish in the valve chamber for sealing).
Notice the valve seats have been cut and the guides are installed.
The motor with the mandril centered on it ready to heat and pour babbitt
The front main after heating and pouring.
The same motor after removing the mandril and sprues.
Just like pies on Grannies' window sill
Not a bad mornings work.
